Decide on your desired look before your appointment, this will help for a smooth consultation and ensure we are both on the same page. Pictures and friends formula can be used for reference. Everyone has different unique facial features that determine the final look.
Natural and open eye looks emphasize your natural eye shape , giving you a brighter look.
Doll and cat eye looks are more on the dramatic side but it all depends on the length and thickness which we discuss further during your service.
Before
remove all makeup especially around the eye area. avoid wearing mascara and eyeliner for at least a day before your appointment.
be sure to remove contacts as well!
avoid caffeine before your appointment. caffeine makes it very difficult to sit still during your appointment. if you notice your eyes are twitchy or jumpy when trying to keep them closed, caffeine is usually the reason.
be sure your hair is dry, no buns or high ponytails. i am working directly behind your head, i cannot work in the area needed otherwise.
During
place cellphones on silent. it is very important to keep your eyes closed for the entirety of the service, no texting, answering phone calls or facetime. otherwise i cannot and will not continue your service. please let me know if you need to get up for any reason, and do not do so until i say to.
After
do not get the lashes wet for 12 hrs. avoid touching, tugging, and picking at the extensions. after the 12 hours wash your lashes with approved foaming lash cleanser at least once a day everyday. it is easier to use a brush not used for anything else to wash them. Pat them dry never rub. i recommend using a handheld fan to dry. Brush the lashes with the lash brush provided to you after washing, when you wake up, and throughout the day if they look out of wack.
if you feel any tugging, pulling, or itching after your service please contact me and if necessary i will have a look at them as soon as possible.
Tips
washing your lashes regularly will always ensure better retention
use a silk pillowcase to ensure good retention. this will also benefit your hair and skin
do not sleep on your face, whichever side you sleep on will have more fallout than the opposite side, this is normal.
typically we loose 5-6 natural lashes everyday, do not be alarmed. this is why it is recommended for refills every 2-3 weeks
the service you book only determines the TYPE of lash extension you are getting, the style can be customized to you based on your needs and the look you would like to achieve.
you and a friend can get the same service length and thickness and the result will look different, it is always best to discuss with me what you want to achieve and i can customize the look for that result.
please note it is possible to develop an allergy to adhesive after sone time. Please inform your tech of any allergies you already have and if you feel you are starting to develop an allergy. There are many reasons why someone who usually does not have s reaction will start to. The main reason is POOR LASH CARE/ HYGIENE. Follow the after care provided to you, make sure to use approved lash cleanser only!
